Antti Haikala – PRODUCER
Antti is one of the pioneers of the Nordic 3D animation scene with ongoing passion towards character animation. He co-founded animation studio Anima year 2000 and has been taking part in numerous animation projects in varying roles from an animator to a director and producer. Antti’s track record as a producer includes award-winning feature films and big international animated series. He is currently working as a producer and COO at Anima’s studio in Helsinki. Is a bit mystery how come Antti has tackled many super challenging productions but is still having troubles with the studio espresso machine.
Miko1
Mikko Pitkänen – ART DIRECTOR
Mikko has worked as a Director, Art Director, Production Designer and Post Production Supervisor. Due to his vast experience and extraordinary visual talent, Mikko has been able to help us internally constantly to improve the quality of our work and externally to communicate our visual ideas to co-producers and clients. He is experienced in working with large teams in international productions which makes him a seasoned team player. Mikko’s favorite hobby is collecting designer toys which have almost forced us to double up our studio space.
Olli1
Olli Rajala – SUPERVISING TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Olli is one of the founding members of Anima. He is responsible for many of the technical and artistic solutions that enabled us to make animated feature films with a quality that was high enough for theatrical releases. Olli’s job is to make sure that the tools to be used and the visual look will match. Olli is a lifelong learner and his only mentally unhealthy habit is to support Finnish national football team.
Jamie1
Jamie Dower – ASSET SUPERVISOR
Jamie’s background is in 3D modeling but during his career, he has been more and more involved in process of defining what is actually seen in the shots and how the complexity can be broken down and transferred into a workable solution for the rest of the pipeline. Jamie has also successful history in leading teams and being in direct contact with customers. Jamie is originally from New Zealand and made a good trade in changing that climate and scenery to Finnish one. Not… Maybe he was after something else like great places to work. And a Finnish wife.

KEY TEAM MEMBERS AT MALAYSIA

Kurre1

Jani Kuronen
 – PRODUCER, CG SUPERVISOR
“Kurre” is a co-founder of Anima. As founding an animation studio in Finland wasn’t challenging enough to this multitalented bloke he went to Malaysia and founded another one. He has extensive knowledge of brewing beer as well as all areas of animation and 3D animation technology. Besides being super talented animation expert Kurre is also a crucial part of our management –  he is currently the CTO and Executive Producer of animation studio AnimaPoint.
Yuki1

Yuki Pang – PRODUCER, COO
Yuki has been running our Malaysian studio since day one. She is a seasoned professional and has worked as a clean-up artist, animator, layout artist, visual development artist, project coordinator, layout supervisor, production manager, producer…etc. Yuki also brings valuable knowledge of local resources and things that are must to know when working overseas. She also has an MFA in 3D Animation in Academy of Art which makes her probably the only one of us to have any proper artistic education.
zia1

Zia Athar Rizvi
 – EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, HEAD OF FINANCE
Zia is our smart Pakistani man with numbers. In between his obsessive love of Star Wars and deep passion for cricket, he finds time to balance our books and makes sure we all get paid on time. Having a background in accounting and finance, Zia is a critical component of our management team in Malaysia.
elvis1

Elvis Chew – HEAD OF PRODUCTION
Elvis is not dead. We know this because he has been supervising 3 major subcontracting projects for us and has done a marvelous job. Besides supervising, Elvis has been working as an artist with animated series both in Singapore and KL that gives him a great perspective to 3D animated projects. His fast and accurate communication has not only helped in solving production issues but also made collaboration between multiple studios smooth and effective.
Luca1

Luca Bruno – ANIMATION DIRECTOR
Born and raised at Anima Studios. Ok, we didn’t find him in a reed basket in front of our studio but he has been working with us ever since he graduated from Kallio high school in Helsinki and has a long track record including commercials, animated series and feature films. He’s been working in Europe as well as overseas and has a sharp eye for timing and poses. He is also an excellent communicator in translating the director’s’ vision to his leads and the team. This has enabled us to have a constant and reliable flow of animation to the next stages in the pipeline. Even being an artist himself Luca has also deep understanding of the importance of quality control and how it affects all the work stages in 3D animation
kaj1

Kaj Andtfolk –  VISUAL SUPERVISOR
Kaj is one of the most experienced members of our crew and has a long history of working overseas in a multicultural environment. His understanding of lighting shots and compositing beautiful images has helped us to provide our customers with a great deal of quality even with limited resources. Kaj has also excellent vocabulary for expressing visual ideas, comments and questions that arise during production. As a Finn Kaj has been super happy living in Malaysia but don’t ask his opinion about the local driving culture.
